Rómulo Royo nace en 1976 en Zaragoza. Se formó en pintura, ilustración y diseño. Entre 1995 y 1999, realizó ilustraciones para revistas y portadas de novela que se publicaron internacionalmente. Su obra se expone desde 1997 y está en diversas colecciones privadas, fundaciones y museos. Este año, ofreció una performance durante un concierto en Barcelona, con su padre Luís Royo.

En la serie de Siameses, Rómulo Royo cuestiona la dualidad del ser humano, es decir el hombre en su individualidad y el hombre en la comunidad, tal y cómo esta percibido por los demás. En este sentido, Rómulo Royo ve a los seres vivos como siameses: no puede vivir uno sin el otro, sin embargo, las dos mitades están en constante conflicto. La instalación que presenta Principal Art forma parte de este serie. Se proyecta un cuerpo emergente de un cuadro iluminado por un fluorescente que confunde lo real y lo virtual, otra alusión a los siameses.

In the series of Siamese, Rómulo Royo expresses the duality of the human being, The man in his individuality and the man in the community, just how he is perceived by the others.
