Teniendo en cuenta que hoy es el primer día de PHotoEspaña, hemos decidido dedicarle el Art Bite del día a una de las fotos que tenemos en Principal Art que más nos gustan. 

La trayectoria artística de Zhang Huan, representa la experimentación con la esencia del ser humano en su límite entre la individualidad y la colectividad. El artista aborda distintas temáticas a través de situaciones de extrema soledad y sufrimiento. La desolación o el aislamiento que supone la vida en la ciudad, la degradación y abandono de los espacios públicos y el enfrentamiento del hombre con la naturaleza son algunos de sus motivos recurrentes. La presión de distintos ambientes y situaciones, siempre desde una mirada autobiográfica, es el punto de arranque de sus acciones.
 

De sus primera obras íntimas, acerca del sufrimiento del individuo distante y aislado pasará a realizar performances cada vez más complejas, en las que se sirve del impacto queprovoca el choque de las culturas oriental y occidental, para reflexionar sobre temas como las religiones o los problemas de la sociedad actual.

Since today is the first day of PHotoEspaña, we have decided to dedicate our Art Bite of the day to one of ours favourite photographs here in Principal Art.

The career of Zhang Huan, experiments with the essence of human being in his boundary between individuality and collectivity. The artist deals with various issues through situations of extreme loneliness and suffering. The desolation and the isolation of life in the city, the degradation and abandonment of public spaces and the confrontation between man and nature are some of his recurrent motifs. The pressure of different environments and situations, always from an autobiographical point of view, is the starting point of his actions.

From his early intimate works, about the suffering of the distant and isolated one, he will  then perform increasingly complex performances, which uses the impact caused by the clash of Eastern and Western cultures to reflect on issues such as religion or problems of modern society.
