Para el Art Bite de hoy os traemos una pieza monumental de Modest Cuixart que fue expuesta en la V Bienal de Sao Paulo en 1959, "El sueño de Eude".

Fue con esta serie de piezas con las que en dicha Bienal logra el máximo reconocimiento internacional al obtener el Primer Premio Internacional de Pintura, en la que quedan como finalistas Francis Bacon y Alberto Burri.

En los años cincuenta, Cuixart evoluciona hacia una pintura informalista y matérica que se sirve del "dripping" y el collage, para acabar pasando a obras en las que se va acentuando progresivamente una figuración expresionista, con un especial interés en la figura femenina y las imágenes eróticas.
